wow... quite a bit of time since my last submission, but the bad flu's gone and i'm back at work, then i have almost no time for my personal things.
one week ago i was on the mountains, in val di fassa / fassatal, to take some photos of the autumn landscape. the landscape is usually wonderful in those days because the "larici" (Larix decidua) change their color from green to a wonderful yellow and, later, to brown. at the end of this process, they loose their "leaves", waiting for the spring warm to arrive. unfortunately, this year it was a damn cold in the past weeks and the colour changing process was already at its last stage when i got there, then i took almost no nice pictures of the trees themselves. however, the very cold temperature made the first snows to fall earlier than usual and we met some nice snowy landscapes. the light conditions --late afternoon, shadow and no flash-- completely fooled the auto white balance of my camera so much that i decided not to remove the bluish dominant because i loved the "lunar" mood that it gave this picture. later, when i looked at this image, it also seemed to me to be an infrared shot, but it's not: believe me
if any of you will ask for it, i'll upload a correctly colour balanced version of this image.
